Lifelong resident of Washington Township, a stable farming community, near Kentland, IN. Greta graduated from Ade Grade School and Brook High School, participating in all art related activities. She studied Commercial Art and Illustration at the American Academy in Chicago. Worked as Assistant Art Director for Prairie Farmer magazine prior to returning to Newton County, Indiana. Did free lance art work and photo coloring for local photographers for many years.

Greta continues to study painting with nationally recognized teachers. She teaches watercolor at the Brook Library, her Stateline Studio, at the ‘Art Center’ at the Northfield Mall, in Kankakee, IL. and at Indian Creek Resort in Florida.

Greta’s paintings have won numerous awards at local fairs, the Indiana State Fair and the Decorative Artists Convention in Ohio. She regularly exhibits at the Indian Creek Resort in Ft. Myers Beach, FL – Iroquois, Washington Twp. Library, Brook, IN. She also exhibits at the ‘Strawberry Festival’ and the ‘Art Stroll’ in Kankakee, IL. and Harvest Daze in Watseka, IL. Greta was featured in ‘Under Indiana Skies’ at Indiana University Northwest, Gallery for Contemporary Art in 2007, Gary IN.

She is a member of the Indiana Water Color Society, the Kankakee Art League, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the Society of Decorative Painters.
